I submitted all the information requested and then did not hear any more from them so I called to see if they had received it all. They said yes and that I would be hearing from them in a week or 10 days.
More time than that has passed but as yet I have not heard back or received anything from them.
Review Updated: 07/19/2024
It took a long time for them to process my claim and therefore I had to contact them a few times.
First time they said yes they had everything they needed and I should hear from them in about 10 days. After more than a month I had to contact them again and then after a few days they got back to me. Only after that it went smoothly.

Gathering of lots of documents needed for the claim- takes a great deal of effort and patience to get these from the air carriers.
Process overwhelming for those of us who are challenged by technology.
Hopefully all my work will get me a reimbursement quickly, I am not asking for anything extravagant.
Unable to truly rate the insurance company until I get through the process of filing a claim.

This trip to Alaska went off as well as could be expected, and no known issues arose to cause us to make a claim. However, after our experiences on previous trips we have learned that travel insurance is a very important tool to have when planning a major trip. Thankfully, this trip was great in all aspects. Squaremouth made it easy to choose the insurance coverage that we needed and Generali offered that coverage at reasonable rates, and with good customer reviews. We will be looking at Squaremouth for coverage the next time we plan a major trip.

I have filed my missing suitcase which I still have not received. In fact other than the email I got saying they have got the claim, I haven’t heard anything. I will ask my lawyer to send a letter if I don’t hear something soon, thanks, Bob Rainey
