    Thank you, Generali Global Assistance! I never thought I would find myself in a position to use travel insurance. On a recent trip I caught some respiratory infection which turned into pneumonia, among other things. I don't think I have ever been sicker in my life. I had to go to the ER. When I called Generali customer service to say I was going to have to return home from my trip, I was treated with the utmost kindness and concern. The representative offered to help me change my plane ticket, but I already had. The representative followed up with me two days later to make certain I had gotten home and to see if I needed anything. I really appreciated the call and again the kindness I was shown. She also gave me some tips on filing my claim.

    The claim process was fairly simple. Fortunately I had all the documentation. I submitted it on a Tuesday and that Friday my claim was paid by Zelle (very convenient). No questions were asked.

    I'm now a big believer in travel insurance! I will be purchasing more policies with Generali Global Assistance for upcoming trips!

    They did not fully compensate me for the claim, the user interface to submit a claim is terrible, and the service was also not good

    I made no contact with Generali insurance during my trip. My flight was greatly delayed and rebooked due to weather north of Orlando and all flights in the Northeast were delayed and then there was a real problem at JFK due to FAA flow control. I ended up being rerouted to London and then onto Copenhagen and being separated from my traveling companion. My luggage did not make it to Copenhagen. I filed a missing luggage report at the airport including my itinerary for my cruise departing the next day. Never did get my luggage until I returned home back in Orlando. My cruise concierge and I spent hours trying to find my luggage and not until the day before disembarking did we know for sure it was in Orlando and I picked it up in the airport. I had lots of expenses so in process of filling a claim.

    I got Covid and talked and emailed with three different people, each of whom contradicted the other. For all of them, it's as if a Covid interruption claim had never happened before. They kept having to consult manuals or colleagues. I've now submitted a claim for reimbursement of missed travel plans and commitments, costs of isolation, etc, and am very concerned that the same bureaucratic confusion will make this hard.

    I chose Generali Global Assistance after comparing many companies and plans because it looked like a reasonable choice for our trip. Our trip went great and we did not need to have further interactions with them.

    Very happy with the claims process. Eleven days after submitting my travel delay claim and all the paperwork, I was notified that it was accepted and they covered the full amount of the claim. I elected to have it sent through Paypal, and ten minutes later the money was in my account.
