I think their whole business model is to make it so difficult to speak with them or to file a claim that 90% of the people will give up and go away. At this point I would not buy from them again.

Once I made my purchase, I NEVER heard from anyone EVER again. It would have been nice to hear something, via email or an actual person, near the date of departure to make sure I had and was taking the proper paperwork with me on the trip.

I placed a claim, due to Hurricane Irma, on 9-18 and still have not had my refund. I called 2 x and sent multiple emails. They say due to Hurricane claims they are behind. As of today it has been 16 weeks and I consider this unacceptable. They take the premium the minute you hit the confirm button.

Until Squaremouth escalated my claim it sat for 3 and a half months at the insurance office. I had called two times and emailed the company. Within 10 days of Squaremouths escalation I had a check for the amount of the request. I was very satisfied with Squaremouths assistance.

Our trip was cancelled because I am unable to walk any distance due to plantar faciitis. Trip Mate, Inc. in Kansas City received my completed claim form and supporting documentation November 20. To date they have done nothing to process my claim. When I emailed them to inquire about the delay, it took them a full week to respond to my email. Six weeks with no action on a trip cancellation claim is not acceptable customer service. I will not use this company again and will caution others about their terrible claim service.

You had my completed claim form and all documentation November 20. I received your payment January 25, almost 10 weeks. Also, payment was short by $300. I have submitted a money dispute.

I never would have purchased a policy with Global Alert if I had known that their claims are handled by TripMate. We had to cancel our trip due to illness. I filed a claim with TripMate with all of the required documentation. I had to file it by email three times before it was acknowledged. After a month they have managed to open a file on the case and nothing else. There has been no action. The phone number for claims has long hold times, ending with a message to leave your phone number and they will call you first thing the next morning. They do not call back. The message also indicates that you should not call and leave your number more than once or it will result in delays.
Internet searches show that there are MANY complaints about TripMate. Global Alert appears to be a front for TripMate.
