The explanation they provided was quite inadequate. I am waiting to hear about the appeal. I did receive a check for some compensation within 2 weeks of filing my claim and their communication (except for the explanation noted above) has been good.

Thankfully, we did not experience any difficulties during our 2-week trip to Wales. But I always feel assured that if I should need to submit a claim, it will be handled with personal care and attention by competent professionals.
