It is reassuring to have a back up insurance plan when traveling as an older, mature adult. It is a detail of our trip that gave us more reassurance as we went forward with our plans; not always knowing every moment where we would be. I have worked overseas as a travel nurse in the past and my companies have always recommended Square Mouth.

I did not know the status of my claim until I received a check in the mail for about 1/3 of the total claim with notes on the statement as to why the remainder was denied. The claims rep called me on the phone on one occasion after which she agreed that her citation to policy requirements which I quoted to her was erroneous. After receiving the check, I emailed the company telling them that I disagree with the amount of the payment and why. I asked them to cite to me provisions in the policy that support their interpretation but they have not responded. For example, as a result of flight delay, I missed my connecting flight and had to rent a car to drive home from the airport. The carrier paid for the rental car but refused to pay for the gas which I had to buy to operate it as they said that they do not pay for gas! The policy nowhere states this.

I am going to file suit in small claims court against this company as I suspect that they rarely pay more than part of a claim on the assumption that the policyholder will not pursue payment.

I would not buy policy with them at all. bought expensive great coverage policy and Very disappointed with claim process and results. My claim been open for several months now; they reimbursed partially, very small amount, rest they can't and I am still waiting and appealing. Very unreasonable policies that rule out all the benefits they list when you purchase it. I think if you travel to developed country where receipts can be taken in English - it might work, but in small undeveloped islands or countries with no english, they don't accommodate realistic scenarios at all e.g. taxi to go to town and buy clothes. They will reimburse clothes but not taxi. Baby supplies and formula that you had to buy due to baggage 3 day delay is not covered. Small island airport doesn't provide any report of bag delivery nor they speak english to get it afterwards, so much hassle. Yet this claim department doesn't care: no baggage receipt therefore no proof you had bags 3 day delay. Really frustrating. and zero compassion from them.

Put in my claim, pretty cut and dry, husband had emergency surgery. I was expecting a faster turn around, not "we had an overwelming amount of claims". That is not my fault. My claim should not be taking this long.

I feel I had to keep contacting them. The communication was lacking. I even asked for an email of status (it was in the notes the rep after I complained read it) and I never got it so I had to call again. Then I got a check for half the amount and had to call yet again to question it rather then them contacting me with the mistake. Very frustrating experience. With all the choices out there I will use someone else next time.

I filed a claim after my wife and daughter received treatment for Covid while we were in Greece. I was impressed with how easy it was to upload receipts and doctor statements to the website. I was even more impressed that the same day I filed my claim I received a call that it had been approved and I received full reimbursement for all medical treatment sent to my bank account the next day. I have never received such a positive response from an insurance company. I highly recommend Travel Insured International- reasonable rates and excellent customer service.

I sent them a whole packet, complete with everything they asked for on their claim form, along with paperwork showing what each company said was nonrefundable. Yet, they want even more from me! I had to send them all my old credit card statements proving I had paid upfront for a rented RV, a train ticket, and an AIRBNB. All this for only a $652 claim. It seemed redundant! I think they they want to give up but then they don't know me. I would take them to Small Claims Court if they don't pay.

I did get my refund but it seemed that they wanted double the amount of proof that was actually nessacery. I think this is to stop frustrated folks from continuing to persue their just payout and just " throw in the towel."

It was quite easy to connect by phone with one of your agents. She was extremely clear and understanding on my needs and she explained the process and answered all my questions.
I am intending to claim a luggage piece -my carry on that went on the plane with the rest of my luggage and was partially broken and opened at one edge. I am waiting for the airline to get back to me, but otherwise , I will send you the information and the pictures.
I am already recommending Squaremouth to my acquantances for your excellent services.
