travel safe wil be a co i use for all my travels abroad.
TravelSafe customer service redirected me to their claims company CBP, so I have had almost no interaction with them. CBP has a website that you must go through to file a claim. At this point, I am quite frustrated so next week I will attempt to find a live body to see if things will improve. To date, my complaints against CBP are: 1)Directions for claim filing are confusing; 2)they do not allow paper filing - you must file electronically, so you must struggle through the website; 3)although we have a letter from a surgeon detailing the injury and inability to go on the trip, CBP will only accept a physician's declaration on their form which took 10 days to get through the surgeon's attorneys; 4)to file a claim, you must use the form on CBP website + PDF's of all supporting requirements (physician form, cancellation forms, proof of purchase receipts, etc). 5) When you attempt to send these files - 4 + the form you have filled out - their auto response says the file is too big to be transmitted. If you attempt to also PDF the main form, the auto response denies that action.
So, while TravelSafe may be just fine, the company you deal with is NOT TravelSafe. And that company is definitely living up to every insurance company stereotype going.
