Didn't need anything, the process to get the insurance was good. Hope if I ever need insurance, you people will be helpful and accommodating instead of balking and mounting bureaucracy like most insurances are.

I purchased an Azimuth travel medical insurance policy through Squaremouth. None of the other travel insurance comparison websites included Azimuth among their search results.

Azimuth is sweet and efficient while taking your money (those are the five star reviews). But the moment you try to file a claim.... it turns into a zero stars experience.

Azimuth has tried every trick to avoid covering my Mom's sudden onset of wet macular degeneration - it's a rare (<10%) condition when one starts seeing dark spots, effectively loosing functional vision in the eye. Azimuth first tried to claim that the condition is not covered by the policy, then, when it did not work, claimed that the condition is "pre-existing", dragging their feet, playing for time, hoping we give up. Their letters are written in same style as the scams by Nigerian "princes" (I've never seen such poor grammar come out of an insurance company). We have a signed letter from the treating physician in San Francisco, clearly stating that this is NOT a pre-existing condition, and still Azimuth persists at trying to ignore it. Looks like we shall have to go to court.

It took many months to get the claims covered. More work that I should have had to invest. MAKE SURE YOU DOCUMENT EVERYTHING. Once I escalated to Squaremouth and to Lloyds of London, Azimuth had no choice but to honor the terms and it all worked out at the end.

I was told when I purchased the insurance on 7/20/18 that if I had to change my trip for any reason any change fees etc would be covered. I called customer service on 8/4/18 stating that I was sick and needed to go home early. I was informed that my illness was not covered.
