IMG customers have noted that the customer service is attentive both before and during their trips, especially when they need to modify their policies. However, IMG has recently improved its claims process to make it more efficient and transparent for customers.
Easy to set up and much more cost effective than insurance through the trip provider. Will use IMG again next time we travel.
We did file a claim for our flight home which was canceled by JetBlue Airlines. Our claim number is T56974.
My husband was hospitalized the day our cruise was to begin in Bergen, Norway. We were unable to return home until 9 days later. Initially not all the information I received while we were in Bergen was very helpful but follow up was terrific once we were able to return home. My claim is currently in the review stage. Keeping receipts of everything spent is very important!
My wife fell on one of Trafalgar’s River cruise excursions and broke her wrist. She was x-rayed, put into a cast. I tried numerous times to reach customer service but was told to call back later=as there were problems associated with Middle East.
The customer service representative from IMG was the rudest, most unhelpful customer service representative I have ever spoken with in my entire life. After finding out that my tour was canceled due to civil unrest and road blockages (with a State Dept. travel warning), I contacted IMG to find out whether my policy had coverage for getting reimbursed for my non-refundable flight. The representative informed me, "If it's covered, it's covered. If it's not covered, it's not covered" and would not help me locate where in the policy documents I should look, what terms/phrases I should look for, and whether this particular situation was covered. She kept interrupting me when I tried to ask questions and hung up on me. Imagine if I had a true emergency and was stranded somewhere! I would not recommend purchasing insurance with this company.
I am contacting IMG 24/7 customer service: for in order to file a claim, I will need to sign up first before filing a claim.
Unfortunately policy number as above not showing on my IMG (instead showing another travel insurance for our October’s trips)
Customer service rep can’t assist - only stated no one have ever face that situation.
She sent me documents instead.
IMG customer service has been very helpful with the claims process.
Did not have to use the policy so not a lot of additional comments to share. Did reach out to IMG before my trip with a couple of questions related to my policy. Did receive responses but they were fairly slow to respond (a week plus), hence my above rating for IMG.
Customer Service Representative was very patient and clear in explaining what I was purchasing.
Happy to have the coverage - glad I didn't need to use it.
