If I could give you 0 stars, I would. My husband is undergoing chemotherapy and a potential donor for a transplant became available and I was taking him to doctors appointments in preparation….. tin leg wants to call it a pre existing condition. Cancer, yes. Potential transplant, no. I didn’t get to take my vacation, my husband’s donor didn’t pass her medical and now I get no refund after buying insurance.. not fair

Thank you for sharing your experience, and I’m sorry to hear about the challenges you and your husband are facing. We understand how important it is to be there for a loved one, especially during such a critical time, and we empathize with the situation.

After carefully reviewing your claim, we regret to inform you that it was determined the situation falls under the category of a pre-existing condition. While the transplant itself was unforeseen, the medical appointments related to your husband’s ongoing treatment are considered to be connected to the pre-existing condition. Unfortunately, the policy you purchased does not include coverage for pre-existing conditions, and therefore, any losses resulting from this could not be covered. We have product offerings that will cover pre-existing conditions and would be happy to guide you to those options for your future travel needs.

I understand this may not be the outcome you were hoping for, and I wish we had better news to share. If you have any further questions about the policy or would like more detailed clarification on the coverage, we are here to help.

My flight was cancelled and after rescheduling it I made contact with Customer Service to get the departure date changed on my policy. The representative I spoke with told me that the dates on my policy were wrong to begin with and then we went into a lengthy conversation about what such a change involved. This was very stressful (my flight was rescheduled to that evening) time consuming and ultimately unnecessary.

The representative called back later to let me know that I had a duplicate policy and they would refund the cost of that and change the dates on the policy he claimed the dates were originally incorrect on and without further charge. While on the phone I checked my records and it turned out that the representative had failed to look at the year on the policies and it turned out he was looking at a policy I took out for a trip around the same time last year! He apologized. Such a basic mistake that caused me such inconvenience.

Thank you for sharing your experience with us. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and confusion caused during your recent interaction with our representative. After reviewing the details of your request, we acknowledge that a mistake was made in not recognizing the correct year on your policy. This oversight led to unnecessary stress and took up your valuable time, which we deeply regret.

We have already taken steps to address this internally and will be using this incident as a learning opportunity to reinforce the importance of attention to detail. Our goal is to provide seamless and accurate service, and we understand that we fell short in this instance.

Please know that we are committed to improving, and we hope you’ll give us another opportunity to serve you better in the future.

My flight was cancelled 10 hours before it was set to depart for my vacations.
I Missed an entire day of my trip which was paid for.
No one wants to take responsibility and reimburse me for the lost day that I paid for or the extra expenses that I incured do to the flight cancellation; Not the airline, Not the resort, Not the insurance that I purchased to protect my trip in case of any issues.

So No I am not satisfied with any part of the insurance that I purchased for this trip and will not be going through this company in the future for any of my trips.

Customer service during the emergency was horrible - added a lot of uncertainty to what would happen as we were facing a category four hurricane

Thank you for sharing your feedback, and we sincerely hope that you are now safe after facing such a difficult situation with the hurricane. We understand how stressful it can be to deal with trip interruptions during emergencies, and we regret any uncertainty you may have felt during your interactions with our customer service team.

Upon a full quality audit of the calls you had with our team, we determined that the interactions were handled appropriately. Our agents informed you that, while we could not guarantee coverage at that time, we strongly recommended submitting a claim for review. This process allows our claims examiners to carefully evaluate all necessary documents and details of the incident before making a decision regarding coverage.

We understand that you were seeking more direct guidance on how to proceed with your trip interruption. However, to ensure fairness and accuracy, our team must follow protocols that involve a thorough review of each claim. This ensures that any decision is based on a complete assessment of the situation.

If you have any further questions or require additional clarification, please don't hesitate to reach out to us.

I liked the ease of searching for a policy and comparing different ones. I do not like all of the different verbiage used in different policies. I called several times before purchasing to get explanation of coverage. I find travel insurance to be a little “scammish” in that it is very specific of what is covered and not covered. If you ask about a scenario and if it is covered, the answer will be “it depends.” The reviews for the claim process tend to be not great. In the end, I did not have to make a claim.
