    Before Trip
    All documents that were needed arrived promptly. It was easy to access them by phone.

    During Trip
    I had to cancell the trip. Therefore I never contacted them during a trip.

    Claim Process
    I cannot give an overall rating yet because the claim has not come through. I spoke to them by phone and was told that they were contacting my doctor to verify that my reason for cancelling was not due to a pre-existing condition. My doctor told me that they had not yet contacted her, and that this was not a pre-existing condition.

    Called the claims line when we got home from vacation about what had happened on our trip, the csr was courteous, and indeed verified that we had a claim. Said she would email a claim to me right away.

    They were responsive to any of my questions.

    During Trip
    I was in communication with TII just before the trip due to weather circumstances and medical circumstances. I was able to reach them and disucss my situation.

    Claim Process
    My claim was based on not being able to get a flight out of Dulles due to the February blizzard and an unfortunate medical situation which I had a doctor's recommendation not to travel due to a back problem. I had documentation for both and was on the phone with both the doctor on the day of travel and TII and the travel agent (Delta Air). I was getting a run around by TII after the claim for more than two months and only settled after many e-mails and phone calls. They apologized at the very end, but the process was very stressing and shocking. It is the first time that I had to make a claim and I paid nearly $1000 for the insurance. A very poor experience. My contact with Squaremouth was very supportive and an agent for Squaremouth had me put him on e-mails as a bcc. I felt support from them and will go through Squaremouth next trip.

    Found the carrier on line and discovered that the coverage I purchased was better than that offered by the tour company yet it was half the price!
