BHTP promptly sent us our documents, recommended their app for use while out of the country, and emailed us just to touch base a few days before our departure. We fortunately did not have to use the insurance as everything went smoothly with our travel.
They were overall really great, my claim didn't qualify though, it's a long story but my partner is the one who was taking care of me financially then became a victim of bank fraud. So they lost the majority of their money. I had to ask all my friends to get me an emergency flight back to the United States, which was quite pricey. My partner ended up homeless(but doing better now) and I am indebted to my friends. However, I think they had terms that since my partner wasn't covered by their policy that it doesn't qualify as a claim for my welfare during the trip. All I asked was that I get the money I used for the emergency ticket that I borrowed from my variety of friends who helped since it interrupted my trip.
Called and asked a pre-departure question with BH regarding increasing amount of our coverage. They were friendly and provided the information I needed. Plan to use BH again in the future.
Coverage and pricing was very good. Agent knew my name when I called the day before leaving to add an extra night lodging! They were ready to receive calls from 2 other members traveling with me. We were all impressed with their personal touch! Thankfully, there was no need to make a claim.
I would not hesitate to use BHTP again or to recommend them to other travelers!

Didn't think I needed travel protection for a home base trip in the USA, but glad I did. Three night before we were to return home Frontier airlines canceled our return flight with no reason. Scrambled to get 4 flights home for the same date and it cost 2x as much. Travel insurance is suppose to pick up the difference. We will see.

Provided required documents via email. A check was mailed within 15 business days. The company paid the difference of air fare due to a cancellation fight by Frontier Airlines. Recommend especially if you are using a budget airlines.

I have had 2 carriers cancel my flights to S Africa and now I'm on my 3rd, Delta Airlines. The new ticket is $2000 more than the original. I spoke to BHTP and they confirmed that I should be able to file a Trip Interruption claim for the additional expense. They emailed me the paperwork which I am in the process of completing.

Using the web site was easy. Had to call customer service to get a covid rider which was easy and efficient. Sent to my email quickly. Good overall experience.
