I had questions about how the insurance process works in Mexico before we left on vacation. We gladly did not need your services or assistance.

Very efficient handling of the claim forms. Both forms I needed were forwarded immediately via email as PDF. I'm now waiting regarding my settlement.

We postponed our trip to Israel, so we didn't put in a claim, but we would have been reimbursed the cancel penalty if we had. We'll be covered by the same insurance policies for a new act of terrorism within 30 days and 30 miles of the new tour dates, but only if they are not at war. It doesn't cover war. All of the other benefits will apply, however. We have three years from date of purchase to use the insurance.

SCAM. States to be available 24/7. Was unavailable during weekend hours. Go with a more reliable company.

I had no issue with purchasing the original policy. When we started having issues with our employers not granting the time off for a 3 week trip to Asia, I called and spoke with someone who filled my head with too much info - all revolving around how since we did not purchase flight insurance we therefore eliminated our "cancel for any reason" option. She was supposed to ask her superiors and get back to me but never did. After about a week, I called back twice and she was not available both times and I left a message. After no response, I had to speak with someone else who told me she was incorrect with her info. Now all the avoidance made sense. When we were told absolutely not with the time off request, we had to cancel and file a claim. I supplied all the documents requested. I was away for 10 days and I checked when I returned home only to find more info was needed, which I thought was odd because the last agent told me this is a simple claim and there shouldn't be an issue. When I spoke to yet another agent, she told me all the documents still required. I told her I sent them already and if they received the 2, they received all 6 as they were in the same email. I then composed another email and sent them again. Yesterday, I received a copied email from the tour director to you again citing the reason for cancellation. It was just too much run around, misinformation, and stress for a $1000 claim, which I finally received $750 - so thank you. But, during the process I felt like I was being treated poorly.

We booked our entire trip through a travel agency and had to cancel several weeks before departure due to illness so I felt a claim would be simpler but the required documentation seemed a bit much. However, once we had completed all the forms and submitted it, the claim was settled quickly and without any disputes. I suppose all Insurance providers would require documentation so we were satisfied with the settlement, the speed at which the claim was settled and would definitely use Squaremouth for any future trips.

The claims process was extremely onerous in the end I backed away.
I had already given the Insurance Company all the details I had via their on-line portal but they kept asking for more.
I showed documentation to show :
1) I travelled by air to the UK and then Ireland ;
2) I stayed in accommodation in the town I said I was in when I sought medical assistance.
3) The receipt from the Doctor's office I visited ;
4} The receipt for the prescription;
5) The test results from a sample that was submitted looking for the cause of my symptoms.
They also wanted :
1) Their form filled in, like I said the information was already in the portal.
2) A copy of my credit card statement to confirm payment - like I said I had already provided receipts.
3) A copy of the doctors notes from my visit - this does not exist but I had submitted the test results from the sample that showed they were looking for food poisoning.
I gave up on the process and walked away.
