    Only contact we had with Global Alert was to change the length of our vacation. The experience with the agent was very good. Since we have no claim to file I cannot comment on that. But I have nothing but positive feedback in dealings with Global Alert.

    We never went on our trip due to medical issues. Cancer had returned and radiation was immediately required. I submitted the paperwork and it took approximately 3 months to get the money from this insurance company. They kept asking for paperwork most of which was already submitted. They also had the travel agent submit the same documents. Numerous phone calls were made. I felt it took way to long to get my payment. I definitely would not use this company again.

    Claim was paid with minimal documentation requested. The only improvement would be that a long time was taken to actually pay the claim. My recollection is that it took more than one month to receive payment even after the claim and payment had been approved.

    When I made the initial first call it was answered by a third party. My plan number did not match up to any of the plans they recconnized. I was continually transferred to different individuals whom where all third party employees. Incredibly frustrating! None of them worked for the company I bought insurance for so they couldn't answer any specific questions. Not even claims questions. I'd be transferred to a different person for claims questions. The employees I spoke with where not helpful at all.

    THE WEBSITE I WAS DIRECTED TO TO FILE MY CLAIM IS SOME KIND OF BAD JOKE. AFTER COMPLETING THE CLAIM ONLINE I WAS E MAILED A CLAIM NUMBER WHICH CAN SUPPOSEDLY BE USED TO PRINT OUT THE CLAIM FOR.M ITSELF. WHEN I ENTERED THE CLAIM NUMBER NOT 2 MINUTES LATER A SCREEN APPEARED SAYING THE CLAIM COULD NOT BE LOCATED AND TO CALL A PHONE NUMBER.. AFTER SITTING FOR FIVE MINUTES LISTENING TO BAD MUSIC A VOICE ASKED ME TO LEAVE MY NUMBER AND I WOULD BE CALLED BACK. I CONTINUE TO WAIT.

    IF THE PLAN IS TO DISCOURAGE CLAIMS BY FRUSTRATING CUSTOMERS WITH TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE IT IS WORKING SO FAR. I PAID FOR THE POLICY PROMPTLY WHEN ASKED AND PERHAPS NAIVELY EXPECTED THAT SHOULD I HAVE A CLAIM IT WOULD BE DEALT WITH THE SAME WAY. OF COURSE, WRITING THIS ASSESSMENT MAY SIMPLY BE A WASTE OF TIME TOO. I WILL AWAIT A REPLY TRUSTING IT WILL NOT ACTUALLY TAKE 4 WEEKS TO COME.
