First time we bought insurance and the agent was very helpful with all of our questions. We felt happy to know we had the insurance and happier to know we did not have to use it...but was in place if needed

My husband was diagnosed with pneumonia In November forcing us to cancel our December cruise. Global was contacted on 11/14 and the appropriate documents were faxed to them on 11/15. Following numerous phone calls and assurances that everything was in order. It's now past the 15 business day limit to reimburse us for our trip. Although customer service reps are very nice on the phone, Global still has our money and there is no indication on when this claim will be settled. We are very disappointed and will not use them again!

First, the trip for which this insurance through Global Alert was purchased did not occur. My spouse suffered two pelvis fractures prior to the departure date of the trip so the trip was cancelled for medical reasons. A claim was submitted to Global Alert via Priority Mail and received on November 21 by the insurer. Today is December 21 and Global Alert still hasn't completed their "review" of the claim. The medical situation is straight forward and all the medical support information was part of the mailing to Global Alert. It is frustrating that this "review" seems inordinately slow in settling the claimed amount. When I have called twice to inquire about the status I am told to be patient. At this point I would have a hard time recommending Global Alert as a trip insurer because of their handling of this matter and insensitivity to a customer's situation.

Global Alert made it very easy for me to buy an travel insurance policy for my cruise to Australia and New Zealand. I could rest easy knowing my trip was covered and if I needed anything they were only a phone call away. I called customer service just to be sure I was purchasing what I needed to purchase for my trip and everyone was friendly and helpful. They took the time to explain everything. Thank you.
