When I filed my claim their first response to me was that I was not insured for the lost I incurred. They said I was not covered by the policy I purchased for a missed connection and they denied my claim.
I had to argue the issue of policy coverage and the language of the contract and then appeal their denial.
After several months of back and forth Emails and returning form after form to proving my case ,Seven Corners finally paid my claim.

Slow to respond to inquiries about the claim; had to call several times to get information. Received contradictory advice when calling on different occasions. Surprised to learn that trip interruption due to illness covered only lost days on cruise, and increased airfare but did not cover other expenses such as ground transportation, and hotels while returning to original trip routing.

Because of their online status 3 weeks later of my claim: incomplete. Despite providing 25 pages of documentation including death certificate and obituary naming my husband and me as family. My father in law due on the eve of our departure. How clear can that be??

i was in a situation that actually worked itself out, however, in the moment, I put a call in to the 24 hour number for assistance but got no answer.

Surprising that such a low cost provided so much peace of mind. Quick and easy process to purchase. Will definitely purchase for our next trip out of the country.

I would recommend this policy, and Squaremouth. Your web site is easy to use and compare policies. Prices are fair, and service has been great in policy purchases. I've never had to file a claim, luckily, so I can't comment on that aspect.

I purchased my travel insurance with "roundtrip trip insurance" on 12/30/2013 for a trip to the Stubai Alps in Austria. The plan was to be hiking/mt. climbing in the Austrian Alps near Innsbruck for 13 days. The dates for my hiking trip were Aug. 02-16, 2014. On day two I passed out or fainted at the dinner table. EMTs were called and vital signs were taken. I was taken to my hotel room. The following morning I fainted soon after arising. The medics were called again and I was taken to a hospital about 30 minutes away outside of Innsbruck. I fainted again two times (total 4 times in 12 hours) I was in the hospital Aug 05-06. It was determined I had serious dehydration. Upon my discharge I returned to USA on Aug 7 because I was unable to continue hiking or mountain climbing. Plus I was a risk to the group. I was told that it be best that I see my *** in USA. I contacted Seven Corners on Aug. 8. I was sent a form that I returned on Aug 13 with every piece of info that would cover my "trip disruption due to medical reasons" claim. I received a check for $775 to cover some of the hospital bill on Sept. 29. Since then it has been a stressful experience. I have been given false information from the Seven Corners representatives that take my calls. This past week I called on Dec.01 to see if a decision has been made on my claim. I was told I would be called in 48 hours. I did not receive that call. I must end by saying that I have traveled to Europe 10 or more times, areas in the USA and Canada and never had trip insurance. This time I thought best to have insurance which I was thankful I had when I was taken ill in Austria. WHAT A MISTAKE IT TURNED OUT TO BE! IT HAS BEEN A NIGHTMARE DEALING WITH Seven Corners.

We have submitted our claim, but Seven Corners has "lost" material we sent, then "found" it later. They have asked for irrelevant material (a "doctors" report) when the reason for the claim was my brother's death, not illness (and an obituary listing or death certificate should have more than sufficed). They now have all the material that should be sufficient to expedite my claim, but we still have heard nothing from them about our claim! In short, their policy seems to be one of stall, stall, and stall some more. At this time, WE CANNOT RECOMMEND Seven Corners to anyone!
PS. Squaremouth should have a provision for putting NO stars on its rating system. That's the rating I would have chosen for Seven Corners if it were possible. Moreover, since we didn't take the trip (we had to cancel prior to the trip), how can we rate Seven Corners DURING our trip? In fairness, we had NO EXPERIENCE with Seven Corners "during our trip" because we did NOT go on the trip. But Squaremouth's survey won't allow the possibility of no stars or being able to say "not applicable". We suggest Squaremouth changes the form to allow for this. We're sure we can't be the only people who had to do something like this because the form wouldn't go through otherwise!
