We have not heard a word about our claim. I mailed it in, they confirmed it was received. That's it - not a peep from them.

I filed claim on my return from the trip 9/18 and it is still, on 12/1/, not complete....
My flight out of NY was cancelled causing missed connection and 2 days delay to final destination and unplanned stay in Frankfurt. Exactly the case when you need insurance.
After submitting all documents, after more than 3 week the insurance spit out just coverage for food $50... i called them to ask what is going on as my coverage should provide for unplanned expenses, luggage delay and lost item and was instructed to file another claim for baggage delay, after calling company and sending claim 4 times I was paid another $200 without any explanation. OI am on round 3 of submitting appeals. Will never chose 7 corners again. They are not on your side when you need them!

I had to call twice to speak to someone regarding upgrading my policy to full coverage. Eventually I managed to speak with one agent

I felt that when I called, the only help I got was someone who did not fully understand the coverage and who had no sympathy for what I was experiencing. I was in South Africa and had already made two hospital visits and felt sick again. I got no real help from the operator except that I must have a doctor say I was too sick to continue the trip. I had been sick for a full two weeks and then was starting to feel sick again at 3 1/2 weeks. I think coverage should take into consideration the age and health of a person and their own needs, not just what some doctor in a foreign country 20 hours from home recommends. I will rate again after I complete my claims and see what kind of service I get. However, I had so much better personal service when I was sick with Travel Guard, that, regardless of price, I am planning to go back with them.

We received good advice about how to add to our original policy as we increased the cost of our trip over the period of one year. i.e.: we just covered our original deposit at first, we added the airfare a few months later, then we added the cost of our tour at the point when we were not longer able to get a refund if we canceled. I was pleased to get that advice and had no idea that we could get coverage that way. I don't know if that was from Seven Corners service personnel or Squaremouth personnel. We also received several quick replies to emails regarding increasing our coverage.

The customer service agent was VERY helpful in walking me through the fine print of competing policies, so I would be sure to have the coverage I thought I might need. She pointed out disclaimers that I would have missed and steered me to policies that cost the same/less that were better suited to my situation. Would never buy a travel policy again without consulting Squaremouth customer service -- terrific support.

I filed what I thought was an easily approved claim with 7 Corners Insurance for a trip delay. The claim was DENIED. They seemed to look for any loophole or reason to deny the claim. I would NOT recommend 7 Corners insurance to anyone who thinks they might have to make a claim. In short the details of my claim are that our flight to Europe was delayed due to a fire in a ATC office outside of O'hare in September, which caused extensive delays and cancellations of flights to and from O'Hare. We were scheduled to fly from LAX, connecting in O'Hare to Budapest. Our initial flight was delayed long enough that we would have missed our connection to Europe in Chicago. Therefore our flights were rescheduled for the next day. We applied for one nights cost of a 3 night prepaid hotel stay. 7Corners denied the claim saying the initial flight was only delayed 3 hours, " which does not meet the policy requirement of a 12 hour delay for benefits to apply. Even though the flight was delayed less that 12 hours, it was delayed long enough we would have missed our connection, and therefore our flights were rescheduled by United. We were delayed more than 24 hours, since so many flights were delayed and cancelled, we were lucky to even get out the next day. They also said "we are unable to confirm that you missed the connecting flight , since you did not actually take the delayed flight. Neither flight was taken to actually have the required delay, no benefits apply". You be the judge, this denial does not make any sense to me since its clear our trip was delayed . I am angry. I would never choose a company that is looking for any possible reason to deny a claim. I would NOT recommend 7 Corners to anyone who thinks they might have to file a claim which is all of us.

The policy was fine. Having issues getting paid for my claim. They have you fill out a payment form particularly to indicate how you would like to receive your payment. However, they apparently did not look at this information because though I checked the option for a bank account transfer, they mailed a check and sent it to the wrong address. Now I'm waiting to see when they will be able to re-issue the check. They told me they would call back in 2 days and I have not yet heard back from them. I will have to call again myself.
