There were problems with the cruise but according to Customer Service, none of the problems are covered by cruise insurance.
The cruise went from a 12 night cruise to an 11 night cruise. Customer Service said that since the cruise line gave us back $300, we don't have a claim. Didn't I pay for 12 days of cruise insurance?
The ports were all changed. I had not desire to go to the Eastern Caribbean. Again, the agent I spoke to said there's no claim even though I paid a lot of money to go to the Western Caribbean and would not have booked the trip if the ports were the same ones as I did last year.
I was never notified of the change. I believe that I should have received notification of the change, and have been allowed to postpone cruise if I wanted to.
The only official notice I received was in my stateroom on departure.

First I called to get the forms I needed to file out to file a claim. That conversation went very well. Then I called back to get information on how to fill out the Travel Coorinator's Statement. I was having trouble figuring the daily cost when the delay was for less that a day. Once she realized the delay was less that a day, she told me I didn't need to submit the Travel Corrinator's Statement. Now I am waiting to get a report from Princess Cruises showing the delay before I file.

Several weeks for trip cancellation claim to be processed and paid. Extensive information required on medical information, medical history and release of medical information. Don't understand need to provide credit card statements on each cruise payment, the agency invoice had a listing of each payment made on the trip and cruise line was quick in refunding their 50% of claim

The insurance provided confidence. We were glad that we had no reason to use it.

We purchased this insurance coverage soon after we made the first payments (the airline tickets) for this extensive trip (Australia/Korea/Japan). Then as we began to pre-pay for some of the other costs, I called to ask these costs to be added to the policy. They were very accommodating about doing so and took the additional money very pleasantly! Easy to do business with them. We are happy that all went well on the trip and we did not need to file a claim.

Unfortunately due to health issues, I was unable to take this cruise. I notified Travel Insured and was refunded my trip cost as promised in the policy.
Despite having to gather and fax 34 pages of documentation to Travel Insured in order to receive our refund, I can say we are extremely satisfied. I will do business with Travel Insured again.

This was the first time we purchased cancellation insurance from someone other than our travel agent. They recommended going through Squaremouth and I was pleasantly surprised that it was not a complicated procedure. Squaremount was easy to deal with and gave us many good options to choose from. They also gave good person to person contact to deal with questions. Their people were courteous and knew their product well. We will use them again on our next travels.

I purchased policies for myself and 5 traveling companions, 3 of which lived in different states. Since it was a trip planned over 2 years, I was able to add to the policies as I made payments. Never had a problem doing so, and any addition was also "cancel for any reason". Fortunately we never had to make a claim.
