    This is. Y the worst experience I have ever had with a travel insurance company. I submitted a claim almost 2 months ago for a cancel for any reason claim and have been given the run around, always asking to send the same documents I already sent. I can’t even contact a person…every time I am on hold for hours and still never get an actual person. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY!!

    We are sorry to learn that you were on hold to speak with someone in the claims department for so long. We do understand how frustrating this must have been for you and we do apologize. There has been a tremendous impact on the call and email volume and the claim department is working diligently to address all calls/emails as quickly and efficiently as possible as we value our customer’s time.

    We sent you a private email regarding your claim status as they have not received all the necessary documentation requested in order to process your claim. Once all the documentation is received they can review the file and complete your claim. Someone from the claim department will be calling you to explain what is still needed since there appears to be some confusion.

    It took me 1 week from time of cancellation of trip for travel safe to find my policy and send me claim forms. I still have difficulty contacting them and still can’t access my policy or view claim on their website.

    I filed my claim in late January, 2022, and received an automatic reply stating there would be a delay due to a "large number" of claims being processed. In mid-February I received a communication from Squaremouth Insurance asking if I would be making a claim, to which I responded Yes. In mid-March I received another communication from Squaremouth asking if my claim had been settled, to which I responded No. I received a follow-up stating they would contact me again in 2 weeks, which they did NOT.
    Finally in mid-April (3 months after initially filing my claim) I sent a request for a status update, and included a copy of my original claim form. Finally this time the claim was processed and I received a check within 10 days. I will add that the payment included interest for the 3 months that I had to wait.
    I understand that more claims that normal were being submitted due to the travel industry difficulties, but I would have appreciated better and more timely communication. I feel that my initial claim was "lost" and was only resolved because I resubmitted it 3 months later.

    I filed my claim on January 9, 2022. As of today (January 24, 2022), it still has not been acknowledged by TravelSafe except to the extent that I received an automatic reply saying they had an unusually high volume of claims and they would correspond by email in the future. I think I should have at least received an acknowledgement that my claim is pending, statement regarding whether or not TravelSafe considers the claim complete and a projection about when I might anticipate resolution of the claim.

    Never received a response once I submitted my claim. Never was able to speak to anyone using the claims phone line. Customer service was no help when I needed to file a claim.

    Our intended destination closed it's borders to non-nationals forty-eight hours prior to our scheduled departure because of the Omicron COVID variant.. United Airlines provided us with a full refund so Travelsafe/Squaremouth was not used. I interacted several times with your customer service, both on the phone and via email. I was requesting a refund of the premium that was paid. Interacting with several people and receiving various answers, your company stopped answering my emails and I ended-up getting a voice mail stating that I could no longer speak with an agent directly. I finally disputed the premium charge with my credit card company. They were the ones who investigated the issue and issued me a full refund. Two weeks later, I received an email from your company stating that they would refund the premium. It was a most unpleasant and tedious interaction with Travelsafe/Squaremouth. I believe your "service" to be scam-like and will certainly not be purchasing travel insurance again. Lastly, during one of my initial phone interactions with one of your agents, he informed me that a pandemic was not on your list of disasters covered by your trip insurance so filing a claim would be pointless. He did, however, suggest that I request a premium refund, the only useful information that I received from your company.

    Impossible to speak with someone in customer service. An answering service fields all of the calls and cannot answer any questions. They take a message and someone calls you back when convenient for them. I'm sure this works well for people who have nothing to do but wait for the call. I'm an attorney, so I call in between appointments when I am available. I gave up on ever speaking to anyone and just bought additional coverage that I knew complied with Argentina's requirements for Covid coverage.
