    I did not have contact with CSA before or during my trip. After submitting my claim, I called to make sure everything was as needed. Within 24 hours, I was called back, and my contact was very cordial and explained exactly what additional information they needed. Be sure to have proof if you are separated from your luggage and need to by toiletries, etc., for an unexpected overnight stay, and obviously keep all meal, taxi, hotels etc. receipts. Ask the airline for a document stating you will not be able to retrieve your luggage that night, if you are denied access as we were. Once I sent the information, I received my check in about a week. I was very pleased and pleasantly surprised with CSA. I will use them again.

    I got the insurance on line, I had no claims, thus I had no contact with the Insurance Company.

    Claim was denied. We were not given a fair chance to argue or dispute our claim. Not even a partial reimbursement for a cancelation that was not our choice. They were quick to respond with a letter but supervisor did not return our calls as promised.

    I used this carrier, as I had used them in the past when I did have to make a claim. They were the best! Everyone was so supportive and helpful. I felt completely comfortable using them again, and, got the best coverage for the least amount of money!

    We did not have a claim on this trip, nor did we have occasion to call on them for any purpose during our trip.

    However, we have had the misfortune, through no fault of our own, to have to file a claim on three previous trips (back to 2007). In all three instances, the claims process was relatively painless (yes, of course, you have to provide documentation to back up the claim and that can be a minor hassle).

    CSA was prompt in responding to our inquiries, forthcoming about the claims process, and timely in sending us an inarguable settlement. Further, CSA has provided the best coverage at the lowest cost among the providers we have been able to locate. We have been totally satisfied with their services.

    I note that some of the more negative reviews of CSA tend to focus on elements that the individual should have been aware of from the time they bought the policy (e.g., what was covered and what was not). CSA customer service could have answered any questions the user had, if he or she had been perspicacious enough to ask, rather than simply assuming something was covered -- hey, the policy is a CONTRACT, with obligations on both sides.
