    4 stars rather than 5 only because it was a little hard to get the process going. Our son, who lives in Beijing, actually did major duty at getting things going and keeping up with Tin Leg so I could focus on my husband. Once we got connected with the right person at Tin Leg things went well and the company covered the medical costs we incurred as a result of my husband's accident and head injury. The Tin Leg contact person had to keep checking with someone else to get payments approved,(which delayed things slightly) but medical costs incurred were ultimately approved and that did relieve a lot of stress.

    Tin Leg did a nice job of getting us back to the US with an escort for my husband. The company approved a travel itinerary which allowed my husband to recline the entire trip. The escort (a former para-medic) was very knowledgeable about travel with someone who was still not up to par. He really made the return trip possible. We would otherwise have been delayed in Beijing far longer..

    Yes, we would recommend the policy to other travelers.

    Since we did not file a claim, we have nothing to add and we plan to use Tin Leg in future for insurance.

    I had an injury prior to my trip that required I cancel the trip entirely. Once I submitted all the forms and documents electronically, I received, in less than 3 weeks, written notification that my claim would be fully honored, and the refund check arrived in 25 days.

    Vacation's are not cheap and cost continue to rise. Its good to know you are covered incase of an emergency or unexpected event.

    Was unable to find dentist while on trip--hard to communicated with SquareMouth, Often could not talk to a person when trying. Only made contact once.

    My claim was miscalculated. The questionnaire asks for the total price, your loss and if you were reimbursed and the amount. Your people deducted my reimbursement a second time and shorted me $937. I called twice and got two different answers as to what I should do. One said to resubmit and the second said to send an email. I did the latter and got 3 unintelligible responses from one of your people who could not write English. I finally asked that she show our correspondence to her boss and I was immediately refunded my $937. I got what I was due in the end but not without persistence.

    We usually get travel insurance in case the unforeseen happens and we need to postpone or cancel our plans or need medical transport home. This time my husband got sick and needed a doctor. We The filed for reimbursement when we returned and was it very easy. The check came today. Excellent service!
