I have questions that I need answers to in order to continue with my claim. I’ve submitted this question via email no one has gotten back to me. It’s impossible to get anyone on the phone. I’m very frustrated.

Prior to travel they were very helpful and even helped us switch/ divide our policy into two as my husband had to change his itinerary. We had to cancel our trip day of travel as my son got sick. It took me 3 days to reach anyone on the phone and I am told it will take at least 3-4 MONTHS to process my claim.

Caution. Avoid using Travel Insured at this point in time. I give them a rating 0-1 stars. Be aware that the ratings you see on Squaremouth are not a reflection of the actual rating. Star choices for Squaremouth reviews include your rating of Squaremouth (which I would give 4 stars), pre travel customer service with your insurance carrier, and customer service during travel with your carrier. There is oddly no star options for during and after the claims process. So you may see high ratings because of the limited choices. Make sure to read the comments. For us, we submitted a claim on the second to last day of travel due to a flight cancellation by our airlines and subsequent rebooking on another airline. We submitted all documents on May 3. It is now July 25th and we have not had resolution. We have received 1 email asking for more documentation and 1 automated email apologizing for the delay. They are blaming the delays on a high volume of claims at this time. Obviously there are a high volume of claims, but this is their job. I tried calling Traveled Insured multiple times, waiting as long as 2.5 hours before hanging up. Squaremouth has tried to help, but they can't really do much, unfortunately. I will use Squaremouth in the future, but unless a get resolution and payment from Travel Insured in the near future, I will continue to give them 0-1 stars.

Horrible customer service. Took days for a reply to email. Never was able to get it resolved before I left. Even tho we had travel interruptions- just not worth dealing with this company. Will never recommend or use again.

Their claim service is non-existant. They responded promptly to my first report, and emailed the claim form and list of additional documentation they require. And that's the end of the story. It is now six weeks from the date they acknowledge receiving my documentation and they won't answer my emails. Their automated email response advises to call their claims number, but when I tried that I was on hold for 1:15 with nothing but music, interrupted regularly by a recorded message to continue holding and a representative will be taking my call soon. Travel Insured International's customer "service" is a misnomer. Save yourself lots of frustration and purchase your travel insurance elsewhere. Also, it is disappointing that Squaremouth still represents them as complying with their Zero Complaint policy. They certainly do not.

It was 50 days from the date they received all of my documentation until resolution. Meanwhile they made it absolutely impossible to speak to anyone about my claim, and they did not answer emails. I'll never use these guys again because of their terrible customer service.

They completed my claim exactly as it should have been…it was an easy process and was my first travel claim ever! I have bought policies from them for other travels and have never had a reason to file a claim. This one trip was a nightmare, and they made the process easy and as stress free as possible. Thank you!

I do not know if Travel Insured is not legitimate, vastly under staffed, or is withholding processing for cash flow reasons. I traveled in March and had an emergency room visit. I filled all of the forms instructed and provided all of the receipts. These were uploaded April 07. After not hearing anything for over a month, I called. After sitting on hold for over an hour, I reached someone who sent me an additional form. He said they were backed up and had not processed my claim. I immediately completed that form and uploaded it. I still have heard nothing. I have emailed the claims department, but they have not responded. I called on July 08 and sat on hold for 2 hours and 32 minutes. They did not answer. More than 3 months and the claim has not been processed. I am unable to reach them.

The claim has finally been settled and paid in full. I am pleased with that. I was paid with no dispute.

My problem is with the speed of processing. I submitted all of the information online. I did not hear anything from Travel Insured for over a month. At that point, I called and sat on hold for over an hour. When I finally reached an agent, they told me that no one had gotten to my claim yet. They also asked for another form which was not initially provided. I waited another 2 months. Still no payment. I emailed. There was no response. I called again. After sitting on hold for 2 hours and 32 minutes, I finally gave up. The claim still had not been processed more than 3 months after Travel Insured had received it.

I then called Squaremouth. Their intervention finally got Travel Insured to process my claim.

Everything went smoothly until my arrival back to LAX when a gate checked bag did not arrive. I immediately filed a report with a person at the baggage carousel area and called right away. Things were going smoothly with messaging but have not heard anything for a little while. I have a feeling my bag is at the Singapore airport and have not been able to get assistance. Here is my information that I filed within the first 24 hours.
Bali to Singapore Flight #TR 285 seat 20F
Depart Bali at 1430 Arived Singapore 1715
    Boarding Time 1345
Singapore to Los Angeles Flight # SQ 38 Seat 47H
    Depart Singapore 2045
    Arrive LAX 2140
    Lost Bag tag # 0001526412

    contents:
Maroon rolling carry on bag. 2 front zippers with a blue Patagonia top in front zipper.~ contents would have a Trader Joe's bag filled with dried coral and black lava stones. There are a variety of sarongs with 2 mushroom wood carvings, a Bali Mermaid batik holding a bowl of food, black athleta pants, striped yellow/blue Prana dress, orange and white dress, white eyelet blouse, a green bag with underwear and a variety of other clothing.

Is there someone or a webpage for the Singapore Airport to check there lost luggage?

The requirements for getting reimbursed for list bags were not published and only given when making a claim. So if you did not have a receipt for each item, you cannot get the full refund ........
