    Detour Travel Health Insurance was very quick to settle my sickness claim and I was paid in full for my medical expenses.

    Three weeks after filing a claim by email I have not heard from them other than an auto-reply acknowledging receipt of an email. I fear I will have to chase them down.

    They are an automatic Deny insurance company. Will never buy their product again. Deceptive marketing.

    The trip went well. There was no need to make any insurance claim... which is a good thing. However, it was reassuring to know it was there had the need arised.

    Rep was lovely and helpful while I was deterring which plan I preferred. Plan was inexpensive compared to others, but I felt it was adequate for my needs and helped me feel protected for my trip.

    Called customer service, very helpful & knowledgeable , assisted me in filing a claim on line due to cancellation flight. Without luggages & spending a night in hotel .

    My claim was reviewed and approved within one month. The representatives I spoke with were professional and efficient. I definitely recommend purchasing travel insurance through this company!

    Detour contracts with a 3rd party CBPConnect to handle their claims. It is EXTREMELY difficult to find a phone number or make a connection with that company. We heard NOTHING for over two weeks. I called and managed to get through to someone who was very nice and helpful and discovered through her that the claim had been approved and a check had been mailed out a couple days before. So mixed reviews- I am VERY HAPPY that the claim was paid and relatively quickly! I was anticipating a battle since that’s the “insurance way”. But CBPConnect communication practices could certainly use improvement.
