    We purchased the insurance but we did not need to use it. The agent that helped us with the policy was VERY helpful and we paid a fair price.

    We were unable to make our cruise at all due to devastating fall on earlier cruise. Entire cruise refunded smoothly and quickly

    We provided all documents needed and are still waiting to hear about if our claim will be accepted

    We had to provide a lot of paperwork and some was difficult to obtain
    Also we had multiple emails back and forth which made the process lengthy

    I unfortunately got ill and was hospitalized the day we were supposed to leave my boyfriend and I were going to leave for our Safari. The claim process was simple and we were able to get our reimbursement within 2 weeks. I didn’t need to do any follow up, the check just arrived in the mail.

    I had to terminate my trip after 4 days because of a medical emergency. I intend to file a claim to recoup what I can for the expenses of the tour and travel, etc. I have not been able to fill out claim information at this point because of health issues but i am trying to gather information to do so.
    It was an easy process to purchase the travel insurance but I have not yet tried to file a claim or speak to Detour so I cannot comment on their service or follow through.
