    Once the requested information was sent, the claim was quickly paid. Only one follow up phone call to the carrier was needed.

    Great rates. I had to phone in to change a couple things after my initial purchase and the agent I spoke with was just wonderful! She was very pleasant, helpful and got my changes made pronto, no fuss! I was very impressed and will buy future travel insurance from Tin Leg!

    They just make it so hard to file a claim. This is the third time I’ve had small claims but they make it so hard the last two times I ended up dropping it as it was under $300 and some information I just couldn’t get. The claim this time is at least $600 so I am going to pursue to the end.

    My spouse had to go to the emergency room in Barcelona Spain in 5/3/24…..I needed to contact tin leg to get a guarantee of payment by the insurance carrier otherwise I would have to pay out of pocket for the emergency room visit. While they did answer the phone…it took over 40 minutes to receive help. At one point they said they would call me back in24 hours….that wouldn’t be acceptable since i needed an authorization to get admitted and treated in the emergency room. Finally someone did help me…but I don’t understand why it took so long to get help. I called around 7pm on a Friday from Barcelona….that’s around 1pm in the US;….i don’t understand why the delay.they confirmed my policy,,, the dates of travel…but they seemed unable to help me in a reasonable time frame. Another insurance carrier from Smithsonian Journeys.(Generali ) was more helpful. My spouse was on the phone with them at the same time..

    I have spoken with the Emergency Assistance provider's management team and a full review of your experience was completed. Upon investigating your calls, we found that the level of service you received was indeed less than favorable. This is not the standard of service we strive to provide, and we are taking immediate steps to address the hold times you experienced Emergency Assistance company to prevent it from happening in the future. I understand that you were looking for a guarantee of payment to be given to the hospital, however, please note that at the time of your call, this would not have been possible without receiving additional documentation from the hospital. Our claims team will continue to work with you on your current claim and review any unexpected expenses incurred due to your emergency.

    Again, I recognize this was a frustrating process for you and apologize for this experience.

    Had to file a claim after having to go to the doctor on vacation. Filed the claim for the doctor visit and all of the medications I had to buy. The total came to $188. You have to jump though a couple of hoops, but I find that with every company I've dealt with when I filed a claim. After it was approved the payment came in quick. I filed the claim at the end of May and payment was in my bank a month later, which I find the quickest I've gotten payment. Would definitely get this insurance for our next trip.

    Medical costs were legitimate, but since the bill was paid from our prepaid account, Tin Leg would not reimburse. Ridiculous excuse.

    I have reviewed your claim with our claims team to gather more information regarding your claim. I understand that your claim was unfortunately denied because the medical costs were paid for with onboard promo credits provided by the cruise line. The policy does not provide reimbursement for credits used.
    I understand this has been a lengthy and frustrating process for you, and apologize that your claim did not have a more favorable outcome.
