Took nearly 2 months for full claim to be resolved. Original portion of claim was processed only after SquareMouth intervened on my behalf. (Kudos to SquareMouth customer service!!!) Needed to involve SquareMouth again to get TravelSafe to recognize accuracy of portion of claim after initially denying payment.

We have been unable to find out what has happened to our claimed. We have called multiple times and been told it is still in process with no answer to when we would get our compensation. They do not even tell us if there is going to be any issues with the compensation or problems that we can address. Very unhelpful service and we are getting very frustrated

Claim Service has been extremely slow.

    Review Updated: 03/02/2018

Claim service took extreme amount of time. Houston was flooded. Both airports were closed. No one was sure when airports were going to open. We had flights out of and returning to Hobby Airport - which was closed indefinitely. I searched everywhere for an alternative means of getting us to Seattle where our prepaid cruise was leaving from. I found flights leaving out of Dallas and returning to Dallas on needed dates. I booked the flights. I found one of a very few rental cars available in Houston and rented it to drive to Dallas and spend the night in a hotel. I booked hotel in Dallas both ways. Flight was leaving early in the morning to Seattle and returning late in the evening to Houston. We should have just given up and filed a complete lost trip because of the Hurricane and gotten our $5,000.00 instead of spending all the time and trouble of figuring out a way to make the trip work. Claim service only paid for 1/2 of the claim. They said we shouldn't have booked the Dallas return flight. We should have tried to come back to the airport that was flooded and closed when we left - rather than the sure bet in Dallas. I guess we would have also been expected to take a cab from the flooded airport to our home - even though no traffic was coming or going to the airport at the time we booked changed our flight reservations. Will NEVER use TRAVEL SAFE AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's unfair to judge based on so little interaction. But, I held on their line for 45 minutes to inquire about making a quick minor change to my coverage. I finally gave up and emailed them. They did reply to my email within 24 hours letting me know I could make that change, all I needed to do was.... call the same number I couldn't get through using in the first place. I gave up, I did not make the change. But that was my choice, I can't judge what my experience may have been had I pushed through the process.

I have no comment to make, because I did not file a claim. I didn’t have the wallet that I kept I discount train card and another card, as well as some cash stolen. It was extremely stressful and I chose not to pursue a claim. The experience was extremely stressful, I was dealing with a relative in the hospital at the time and I couldn’t handle having to file a police report etc. The experience cost me about $80 To replace the cards and I lost approximately $250 in cash. My not filing a claim was A decision I made based on how much of a hassle I perceived it would be to file it. So I suppose that says something about the insurance and experiences I’ve had in the past.

trip interruption claim was denied without explanation or reason for it being denied, so I reapplied again.
It took 2 months for the process to have results. I am on my 4th month of trying to results for a claim.

I filed a claim on Sept18th due to not being able to fly in FLL airport to get to the ship because of Hurricane Irma. Today is November 15th and the correspondence from Trip mate is severly lacking. I understand the scale of the hurricane season and the number of people impacted, however it has been almost 2 months since I filed this claim and it is still pending. My hope is that it doesn't deny for lack of documentation since I have not heard anything from them whether they need additional information. I have attempted to contact them, been put into a call back queue and then was not able to take the call when they called me back which prompted another round of phone tag.

I am very displeased with this round of travel insurace and question if I will buy from your company again.
