Squaremouth was super helpful in picking the right policy for the right price. They didn’t try to sell me a policy that costs more with things I didn’t need. Luckily I didn’t have to use the policy while on vacation but I have no doubt that things would have gone smoothly with this policy. Thank you Squaremouth and April!

Our flight AA flight # 3816 from Chicago to Kansas City on 9/27/2019 was cancelled due to bad weather. By then it was too late for us to find a motel near the airport for the night because all motels were booked. We ended up sleeping in the airport We were re-booked for 9/28/2019 first from Chicago to Denver and then from Denver to Kansas City.
I filed a claim for the additional meals incurred as a result of the delay both for the evening and the following morning. The claim was submitted to the claim office on Oct 7, 2019. Despite several phone calls to the claim office and email, up to now I have not received any reply or answer to my claim which is simple and uncomplicated with all the supporting receipts attached to it.
We are very disappointed with the service of this company. Based on this experience, we will never purchase another insurance from April Travel Protection in the future.[
We hope you can help us rectify the problem we have.

Nothing was done on the claim for 2 months until Squaremouth intervened. This shows the lousy service of the claims department.

So far very professional, however the claims filing process is a little disjointed and stuck between online and paper processes. No reason it can’t all be done online without completing actual pieces of paper versus inputting info into a claims module

I tried asking for my lost luggage but they claimed I need a complete clearance from my airlines which I inquired , claimed
E mailed from Turkish airline but have no results I’m not sure what to do next. April insurance will not
assist me unless I have the letter of clearance for my lost luggage

Contacted April the day after the missed connection. They opened a claim, sent the forms and instructions within a few days. However, the required information seems very repetitive and poorly explained. I sent items via their website and am hoping for the best.

As you can see I submitted the claim to April in November. They have been asking that I submit documentation of what my primary carrier covers. I've tried explaining that my primary is Medi-care and that I do not have any documentation and that they should know what Medi-care covers.
This is a claim for about $125.00 in medical bills from the ships doctor. Just yesterday I told them to close the file that it was not worth trying to provide the documentation they are asking for.
I won't do business with them anymore and insure with Tin Leg for whom you provide the claims service and do and outstanding job.
