Before Trip I had a problem with the fact that the policy documentation evenly split the total trip amount between my wife and I, when that was not what I wanted. A phone call quickly resolved this issue.

Before Trip Very reasonable price, considering the alternatives. As it turned out I did not need to file a claim so I cannot comment on that aspect of the coverage. However, a portion of my trip was cancelled prior to the departure and the travel company refunded a portion of the cost which subsequently affected the amount of premium for the travel insurance. Since the price of the travel insurance is partially based on the cost of the trip, I thought that the travel insurance premium might be less than what I originally paid. I called regarding a partial refund of my insurance premium (prior to the trip) and received that refund within a day of my call. Very good service and would take out this coverage again in the future.

Before Trip Policy should pay for class of service booked on airlines not economy or first class only. Business class is excluded.

Before Trip Part of the reason I bought this policy was for the additional car insurance. In Iceland, they offer windshield protection, due to all of the gravel roads. I contacted CSA via email twice, asking if a chipped windshield would be covered. They said it was up to the claims adjuster, and would depend on the circumstances. I think a gravel chip on windshield is self explanatory, and I could have been given a straight up answer. Due to the ambiguity, I bought additional insurance thru the car rental at cost of $150.
