    I view that there was very little customer service regarding this purchase; since it was totally an on-line transaction and only computerization was involved.

    During Trip
    There was no interaction during the trip for customer service.

    Claim Process
    Buyer Beware!

    This was for our honeymoon which we had to cancel. We had to call several times, wait on hold, fill out a form, fax it in, wait on hold some more, wait for a mail response, wait for an email response, get more information from the Doctor, fax in two doctor's forms. Then--ultimately--they said it was a pre-existing condition which is was not. Total Baloney. They didn't respond to the disputes and told us we could take it up with the state insurance board. One only has so much time. These guys delayed, asked endless questions and made us waste as much time as possible to get out of paying our claim.

    Before Trip
    All the documentation was delivered and clear easy to read.
    I printed out all the info pror to our depature.

    During Trip
    I ended up in the ICU unit @ the hospital on the way to the cruise terminal in Ft. Laurderdale, FL.
    My wife called the insurance company a few days later and received a claim form via email, since we were unable to complete the trip.

    Claim Process
    We have not heard from the insurance compnay as of today (1/4/2012). They say claims can take 2-4 weeks to process. And with the holidays, it is possible can take longer.

    Phone representatives were uniformly courteous and available for answering questions

    During Trip
    We were obliged to cancel our trip before the departure date. We will be submitting a claim based on a medical emergency, and have yet to evaluate how the insurance carrier will perform.

    Claim is forthcoming after all documentation is collected.

    I had purchased evacuation insurance of a year round basis; but since I could not buy regular insurance independent of evacuation, then purchase was unnecessary.
