    We both got covid during our trip and were unable to complete the tour. We alerted Generali immediately and the first person we talked to provided little help and unreasonable requests.

    We contracted Covid during our trip and could not go on the second tour we had booked. I called Generali Global Assistance right away. They provided some guidance on how to proceed with filing a claim. We plan to file the claim this week.

    I had covid while in Mexico. I immediately called your number. I could barely hear the person I was talking to from Generali Global Assistance in spite of the fact that I had no problems hearing on all the other calls I made using the same phone from the same place. It was a very poor connection in spite of the fact that I had excellent reception with every other call I made or received during this time period. I conclude that the problem was at your end. The operator had a very hard time understanding where I was (Oaxaca, Mexico) and the kind of assistance I was requesting; which was referrals to English speaking medical doctors and home call nurses in the city of Oaxaca who could examine and help me, as needed. I did receive referrals to doctors via email from one of your agents. These referrals were for medical people hours away from where I was living and not even remotely accessible to me in Oaxaca. The referrals were useless. I understand that it is hard to interface with medical systems all over the world, but this is primarily why I paid your premium. Your assistance was frustrating, difficult (especially because I was sick) and I had to stay on the phone for an excessive period of time partly because the connection was so bad and partly because the person from Generali Global Assistance had a lot of questions to ask me; probably too many questions. My experience was very negative. The City of Oaxaca is a well known destination in Mexico. I believe you should be able to provide a better interface with the medical system there.

    Many problems - buggy website which required me to file the claim 3 separate times, absurd and onerous requirements for way too many extraneous documents for a simple claim (this took me hours to pull together, I wonder if they do this on purpose to dissuade people from actually filing a claim. For instance, why should I provide the cancellation policy for a foreign train company for a cancelled train ticket? How am I supposed to contact a foreign train company and ask them to write, in English, that they did not refund the ticket. You can't get the train company to write that in English, you can't even reach them. So why would the insurance company require this documentation that is impossible to get??
    Or why should I provide a copy of my sister's passport to "prove her age" on a claim for a cancelled train? This is private information that is completely irrelevant to the claim. She could be 25, she could be 75, it doesn't matter if a train is cancelled! And I don't like the idea of providing personal information as critical as a copy of a passport - you don't want this information in the hands of too many people and companies, in case there are information breaches. This has already happened to me a few times, so now I am more careful with when I have to give out my personal data.
    The only good thing about this company is that their customer service telephone number is well-staffed and they answer the phone quickly.

    I had to file a claim due to having to cancel accommodation in Maui, as we were going to be staying in West Maui. I filed claim for the portion of fee we were not refunded,( booking fee and credit card fee). I filed claim online at companies website which was very easy. I heard back from company just 2 days later saying they would send me a check for money. I received the check a week later. I was really impressed with how easy it was and how quickly the company responded to the claim. Definitely would use this company again.

    No communication after I was notified that they received my claim...it's been about 2 months.....no communication regarding needed information, that the claim is still being reviewed. ..nothing.
