    I choose the rating because they got the names wrong and had to call twice. I had filed a claim in June 2014 and can't get it finished. No one seems to know anything about the claim. Its been deleted on the web site.

    I had to call to add to the policy after my final payment to the tour operator. I was assisted in a fairly efficient manner, but could not complete the transaction on line.

    ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. FILED CLAIM 3 MONTHS AGO AND STILL NO SETTLEMENT. WILL NEVER USE PROVIDER AGAIN. POSTED RECOMMENDATION NOT TO INTERACT WITH THIS COMPANY ON EVERY SOCIAL MEDIA SITE. NEVER USE THIS COMPANY

    Thankfully didn't have to use the policy, but I spent a lot of time researching and comparing policies online and I really like the comparison tool on Squaremouth. Squaremouth makes it easy to compare policies and obtain and purchase a plan.

    "No news is good news," as when we buy insurance we are hoping to not need it. But by the same token, it doesn't give us a basis for rating anything much: those customer satisfaction ratings must come primarily from those who have a claim to file. At most, I inquired for explanatory details from TravelSafe, a company I chose because of its customer satisfaction ratings and such offering details as I could see on the web. I used it once before (on a trip about a year ago).

    I compared policies carefully before I purchased.
    The TravelSafe policy was the best for my needs, plus it covered pre-existing conditions if purchased within a certain time period before travel. I spoke with the TravelSafe folks directly as well, because I had some questions your site did not address.
    I have needed to make two travel-related claims in the passed, so I know the importance of having travel insurance.

    I bought Travelsafe insurance through Squaremouth.com. My luggage was broken by a hotel assistant when it was stored in a holding room. The hotel's manager refused to write an accident report. When I applied (July 2014) for damage claim (less than $100), a Travelsafe representative asked me for tons of different papers: credit card statement, my explanation, not Reparable Statement and so on. After I sent them all of these including not Reparable Statement for which I had to pay a repair store $15 plus tax. Travelsafe sent me letter in December (2014) saying they needed statement from the hotel. If a hotel personal refused to do it in July, they probably won't even remember me in December. I still did not receive any money from the Travelsafe. I will not recommend this company at all because they refused to pay a small claim and asked for a ton of papers. I can only imagine how they handle big claims.
